Lady Edna Peters, a native of Akwa Ibom State who currently resides in London, United Kingdom, has been sponsoring the Ndito Akwa Ibom (Radio) London Annual Senatorial Districts Quiz Competition. The third edition of this competition was held on February 6, 2024, at Aka Community Secondary School, Uyo.

The competition was made possible by the comprehensive approval granted by the State Secondary Education Board, which has helped to add value to the regular teaching curriculum in our schools.

The competition is organized on a senatorial district basis, where the winners from each district compete for the title of the best school in the quiz competition. The prizes include gold, silver and bronze trophies, medals and cash rewards.

There are several benefits of school quizzes for secondary school students, as sponsored by Mrs. Edna Peters.

Quizzes provide an opportunity for students to revise and review their subjects in a fun and engaging manner. This helps to reinforce their learning, improve their understanding, and enhance their academic performance.

Quizzes expose students to a wider range of information and topics beyond their regular curriculum. This helps to broaden their knowledge base and make learning more comprehensive.

Quizzes often involve questions that require critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving. Through participation in quizzes, students develop these essential skills that are transferable to various aspects of their academic and personal life.

School quizzes create an atmosphere of healthy competition among students. This encourages them to strive for excellence, improve their performance, and achieve higher grades.

Participating in quizzes helps students to overcome anxiety and boost their confidence.

Lady Edna, as a private citizen, has added the needed verve to raise the standard of quality education in the state.
