The first African and only Nigerian to play for both inter Milan and Ac Milan.

Taribo West is a Nigerian pastor and former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is best remembered for his various unusual and colourful hairstyles.

West, the snazzy-haired is one of the greatest Africans to have graced Serie A. A tough-tackling Defender moved to Inter in 1997, where he spent two happy seasons with (64 Appearances, 2 Goals) and won Uefa Cup before a less fruitful third season, and was transferred to arch rivals the Rossoneri, Ac Milan in the winter window with (4 Appearances,1Goal).

West recently claimed that the mafia put a stop to his time in Milan, as they could not accept an African playing at the expense of Italian club legends Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta. so, they cooked a vicious story in the press that I was injured in the desperate bid to send me out of Milan.“The doctors were bribed to say I was injured, but it was a lie.”

West moved to Derby on loan in 2000 and made 18 appearances at Pride Park before joining Kaiserslautern on a permanent deal.

He later featured for Partizan, Al-Arabi, Plymouth Argyle and Paykan before hanging up his boots in 2007.
