ONNA STAKEHOLDERS LAUD GOVERNOR EMMANUEL FOR HIS STRATEGIC APPROACH TO GOVERNANCE
…….Charge Newly Elected Ward Excos to mobilize support for the Governor’s succession plan.

Stakeholders of ONNA local government area has commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for his approach to governance, seen to be strategic and ingenious, which has brought seeable developments to the state.
They made this known in their different remarks during the inauguration of the coordinating committee of the Maintain Peace Movement, in the 15 wards of the local government during the week.
The stakeholders believed that ONNA local government from the inception of democratic government has only witnessed an unprecedented transformation by the Udom Emmanuel’s administration, and these are enough reasons to support not just his creeds, but to follow his footprints.
The three days’ ward inauguration exercise, which commenced from the 16th -18th November, 2021, were performed by the Local Government coordinator of MPM in ONNA, and Member representing Eket/ Esit Eket/ Ibeno/ONNA Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Patrick Ifon, accompanied by ONNA State Constituency Lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Nse Essien, Chairman of the Area, Elder Iniabasi Ekanem, PDP Chapter Chairman, Barr. Ubong Adiakpan, former Eket Federal Constituency Lawmaker, Mrs. Owoideghe Ekpottai, CPS/SSA to the Governor on Media, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, SSA to the Governor on Medicals, Dr. Ignatius Akpabio, among other notable PDP Leaders and stakeholders from the Local Government.
Leading the inaugural process, the local government coordinator and member representing the people of Eket/Esit Eket/Ibeno/ONNA Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Patrick Ifon, elucidated that governor Emmanuel deserves the support of every household in ONNA Local Government for his numerous investments in the area.
Ifon, who is the Board of Trustees Member of the Peoples Democratic Party, said that Governor Udom Emmanuel has strategically approached governance with his wizardry in financial management, and this has enabled him to identify viable investments and infrastructures that has guaranteed Akwa Ibom’s place on the map of well-developed states, and ONNA LG area is the greatest beneficiary of the Governor’s magnanimity.
“Everyone knows that since the advent of the Udom Emmanuel’s administration, Akwa Ibom State has witnessed an unprecedented peace that has made the state a destination of choice both for social, political and economic activities, and our local government is the greatest beneficiary of the investments”.
The LG Coordinator stressed that without peace in the state, industries sprouting in different local government areas of the state wouldn’t have been possible due to the fact that no investor would love to invest in a chaotic environment or where there are politically motivated disturbances that could plunge any investment into losses.
He emphasized that there is a need to maintain and sustain the peace Governor Emmanuel has brought into the state beyond 2023, by going out enmassed to register for the PVCs and also use the E-registration platform of the PDP to register ahead of the party primaries and general election, so as to vote Governor Emmanuel’s choice of successor.
In Awa ward 6, Hon. Nse Essien, member representing ONNA State constituency in the House of Assembly and the former Eket Federal Constituency Lawmaker, Mrs. Owoideghe Ekpottai, maintained that the movement is a train that is on motion, and if anyone isn’t in, the train leaves him or her behind
They enumerated juicy projects and infrastructures completed and ongoing in the local government, noting that all the projects will be completed before the expiration of the Governor’s tenure in 2023, hence the reason they should mobilize for PVC registration and also sensitize people to support the completion agenda and succession plan of the Governor.
When the train berthed in Oniong west ward 1, the Local Government Chairman, Elder Iniabasi Ekanem made it known that ONNA is great again because of Governor Emmanuel.
The Chairman of Council made it known that the peace Akwa Ibom now enjoys is because a peaceful man in the person of Governor Emmanuel mans the affairs of the state. He charged the new ward excos to work to sustain what the Governor has made possible.
Various stakeholders upheld that Governor Emmanuel deserves the best of support from the home front, not just because he hails from Onna local government, but because he has impacted positively on the lives of the people in the area than any other Governor.
