ONNA LG Election2024: Kufre Umoren Emerges PDP Chairmanship Candidate
– Picks Mfon Uko as running mate.
Ahead of the October 5, 2024, local government election in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Kufre Umoren, has emerged the chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for ONNA LGA.
Umoren, pulled all 39 votes of accredited delegates to emerge the candidate of the party.
Speaking to journalists after the nomination at the Council headquarters, Mr. Umoren said that the PDP has always allowed internal democracy within the party, as seen in the nomination process.
He adjudged the PDP chairmanship and councillorship nomination, held in ONNA Local Government Area, as very peaceful.
The Chairmanship Candidate while being grateful to God Almighty for making the nomination process a success, thanked the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pst. Umo Eno, and the stakeholders of ONNA LGA, to have found him worthy to lead the local government.
Umoren maintained that he has a lot in his kitty for the local government and will work assiduously to build bridges when elected.
In another development, Mr. Kufre Umoren, has nominated Miss Mfon Uko Jeremiah as his running mate ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
