ONNA LAWMAKER CONGRATULATES KUFRE UMOREN ON PDP CHAIRMANSHIP TICKET WIN
On Saturday, August 3rd, Hon. Sunday Johnny, representing ONNA State Constituency and Leader of the 8th Assembly, has extended warm congratulations to Mr. Kufre Umoren on his nomination as the PDP Candidate for the upcoming Chairman election in October 2024.
Mr. Umoren emerged unopposed, securing 39 votes from the ad hoc delegates at the Council Secretariat, Abat, ONNA Local Government Area.
Hon. Johnny who was elated, praised Mr. Umoren’s emergence, describing him as the best fit for the job. He highlighted Mr. Umoren’s exceptional work ethic, humility, and dedication, emphasizing that he is precisely what ONNA needs during this time.
Hon. Johnny expressed gratitude to the Party and stakeholders in ONNA for entrusting him with the opportunity to serve. He specifically thanked his former boss, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for endorsing Mr. Umoren. He said that he is confident that Mr. Umoren will serve ONNA’s interests to the best of his abilities.
Similarly, Hon. Johnny commended the PDP family in Awa Ward 1 for nominating Mrs. Victoria Samuel Inyang as the candidate for the Councilorship election to represent Awa Ward 1 at the Local Government Parliament.
He urged everyone to unite and provide the necessary support to ensure their victory in the forthcoming poll.
