2023 GENERAL ELECTION: PDP In ONNA INAUGURATE UNIT CANVASSERS

… Vows to Win all Five Over Five PDP Seats.

As political campaigns for 2023 general election gears up to kick-start, Political big wigs Stakeholders buried all differences, converge to chat the way forward, strategize on how to win all the elected seats for PDP in the upcoming elections.

The meeting was convened at the instance of the Chapter PDP Chairman, Barr. Ubong Adiakpan in ONNA and was well attended by Stakeholders across all the communities in ONNA, and they all declared their support and commitment to work for the success of all the PDP candidates.

Declaring the meeting open, the convener, Barr. Ubong Adiakpan, a former Vice Chairman, set the ball rolling, appealed to all stakeholders and canvassers to bury all differences, swung into action, talk to all parties concerned to achieve greater results for the Party.

Barr. Adiakpan said that “PDP remains the verifiable party with well-organized structure that can withstand any form of heat and still come out strong with unwavering commitment to reward her members. I am therefore appealing to all concerns to unite for a common purpose of winning the Presidency for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Pastor Umo Eno as Governor, Barr Ekong Sampson as Senator, Hon Okpolupm Ette as House of Representative Member and Mr. Sunday Johnny as Member representing ONNA State Constituency. Our collective mandate is to win five over five.” Barr. Adiakpan stated.

Also speaking, the Chairman of ONNA Local Government Council, Prince Iniabasi Ekanem thanked the PDP Chairman for the timely convening of the stakeholders meeting which set the groundwork for mass mobilization of PDP family across the board ahead of the forthcoming general elections. He stated that the Governor has done so well, and we cannot afford to let him down.

The Director General of ‘We Believe Campaign Organization’ and former PDP Chapter Chairman, Prince Godwin Ben aka Black , who also speak, ‘throws caution in the win’, charged leaders and PDP faithfuls to always be honest in whatever they do. “I do not blink when it comes to telling the truth and for us to make headway, we must imbibe the culture of telling the truth at all cost, no matter whose ox is gored. He also stated that leaders who have been at the center stage for too long should consider stepping aside for others with vibrancy to take the stage.” He uses the occasion to announce his retirement from active politics once he turned seventy.

Other speakers who took turns to speak were former Council Chairman, Rt. Hon Imo Attat, Hon. Mfon Inaidet, Barr Akaninyene Idem, Chief (Barr) Ntiense, Obonganwan Patient Udo Ukpa, Otuekong Iniekpo Akpanekpo, Elder Ezekiel Umoh and many others. They all make useful commendations on how the party will fly the flag of the party in the forthcoming elections.

The high point of the meeting was the inauguration of the PDP unit to unit canvassers by the Local Government Chairman, Akparawa Prince Iniabasi Ekanem. He commissioned them to start work immediately and come back with a good report card.

Responding on behalf of all the canvassers, Akparawa Ubong Ekwere pledged to do the work effectively while assuring the stakeholders of overwhelming victory in the forthcoming general elections. He also appealed that leaders should consider listening to the yearning of the electorates, be it positive or negative and by so doing, it will make their job easier.

The meeting was moderated by member of the campaign committee, Hon. Courage Inam.
