2023: Emem Bob, Dr. Akpabio Parleys PDP Delegates Of Oniong Clan

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development, Mr. Emem Bob, and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Medical Services, Dr. Ignatius Akpabio, on Monday met with PDP delegates from their Clan, Oniong in Onna Local Government Area.

The meeting which took place at Ikot Eko Ibon, was geared at consulting all delegates in the party ahead of the forthcoming party primaries to mobilize them to support the succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Addressing the delegates, the Hon. Commissioner, Mr. Emem Bob  emphasized that the engagement with the delegates was crucial since the delegates will determine who emerges as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.

He said the awesome power to shape the future of Akwa Ibom State lies in the hands of the delegates and charged them to wisely exercise their will by voting for the preferred aspirant of the governor, in the person of Pastor Umo Eno, who has all it takes to modernise, industrialise and grow the economy of Akwa Ibom State, for the benefit of the present and future generations.

He further charged the delegates to give absolute support to Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s succession plan to maintain the peace prevalent in the state.

“The Governor has given us a direction in Pastor Umo Eno as a preferred aspirant and we should follow same”, he added.

In their separate speeches, the  SSA to the Governor on Medical Services, Dr Ignatius Akpabio, said the people of Onna have numerous reasons to support Governor Emmanuel, whose administration has turned around the fortunes of the people by providing them with good road networks, and modern health facilities, schools and industries.

Obong Godwin Ben (popularly known as Black), on his part, urged all the delegates in  Oniong clan to support and follow the Governor’s directive.
