Onna Council Chairman Commissions New Home for Widow in Ikot Nkan
The Council Chairman of Onna, Hon. Kufre Umoren, in collaboration with Rotr. Bassey Ufot Akpan, commissioned a newly built home for Mrs. Adia Peter Idem, a widow in Ikot Nkan. The Chairman, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Abasiama Kufre Umoren, offered prayers of goodwill and blessings for the donor.
Hon. Umoren praised Rotr. Akpan’s selfless act, stating, “Your deeds shall attract enormous blessings… I’m challenged by this act of goodwill.” He announced the instant appointment of Samuel Akpan Wilson as his aide for overseeing the building project effectively.
Rotr. Akpan revealed that the beneficiary was chosen based on genuine need and that his motivation was purely driven by love. He highlighted his organization’s, Impact Life Medical Foundation, efforts in providing uniforms, educational aids, and empowerment to hundreds of individuals.
Dignitaries present, including Hon. Imo Attat, Elder Hon. Kingsley Johnny, and Eteidung Emmanuel Moses, commended Rotr. Akpan’s generosity.
The event was attended by the leader of Onna Legislative Council, councillors, Personal Aides to the Governor, PDP party executive members, chiefs, women, and youths.
