ONNA COUNCIL BOSS SWEARS IN COUNCIL SECRETARY
The chairman of ONNA LGA, Hon. Kufre Umoren has sworn-in Arc. Mfon Akpabio as secretary of council.
The swearing-in ceremony took placement at the council secretariat on Friday, 11 October, 2024.
Akpabio, a Masters Degree holder from the University of Jos, also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from the University of East London, and hails from Afaha Ikot Idem Udo in Awa Ward 4, Awa-Afaha Clan in ONNA LGA.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the council boss expressed optimism that Akpabio’s extensive experience in both the public and private sectors will greatly benefit the ONNA people.
Umoren stated that his vision for the people of ONNA is to unite the people and create a prosperous and United ONNA as captured in his manifesto, urging the appointee to bring to bear his vast knowledge in the private and public sector.
A visibly elated Arc. Akpabio in his response, thanked the chairman for finding him worthy of what he described as a ‘sensitive’ position in government, assuring that he will not let the chairman nor the people of ONNA down in the discharge of his duties.
