ONNA LAWMAKER HAILS NEW PDP LEADERSHIP, CONGRATULATES RE-ELECTED CHAIRMAN AND EXECUTIVES
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee recently conducted the Akwa Ibom State Congress on September 14, 2024. The event saw the re-election of Rt. Hon. Aniekan Akpan as the PDP State Chairman.
Hon. Sunday Johnny, the Member representing Onna State Constituency, played an active role in shaping the future of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State. He was among the delegates who cast their votes for the newly elected officers, and he proudly accompanied his mentor and former boss, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
Hon. Johnny praised the leadership qualities of the re-elected state PDP Chairman, Aniekan Akpan. He noted that Akpan has stabilized the party since his emergence and has the capacity to win elections in Akwa Ibom State for PDP without stress.
“The best thing that has happened to the PDP family in Akwa Ibom State is saddling Hon. Aniekan Akpan with the responsibility of continuously steering the ship of PDP in the state,” Hon. Johnny said.
He thanked all the delegates for voting Aniekan Akpan as their Chairman and Mr. Harrison Ekpo as deputy. Hon. Johnny also congratulated the newly elected officers and called for support from everyone to ensure their success.
The lawmaker emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving victory for PDP in the upcoming October 5th election. He urged all party members to rally behind the newly elected officers and work towards a common goal.
By re-electing Aniekan Akpan as the PDP State Chairman, the party has demonstrated its confidence in his leadership abilities. With the support of delegates like Hon. Sunday Johnny, the newly elected officers are poised to lead PDP to victory in Akwa Ibom State.
