ONNA PDP Ward Congress: Umoh Udofia Emerges as Ward Chairman for Awa 6

In accordance with the party’s guidelines, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Awa Ward 6 gathered to elect the ward executive committee responsible for managing party affairs.



The Ward Returning Officer, Hon. Gabriel Sambo, diligently oversaw the process, resulting in the election of Comrade Umoh Udofia as Ward Chairman, alongside sixteen other executive members.



In his acceptance speech, Comrade Umoh Udofia expressed gratitude for the smooth transition and emphasized the party’s commitment to supporting Pastor Umo Bassey Eno’s bid for a second term in the Hill Top Mansion in 2027.

Mr. Harrison Ekpo, the State Secretary of PDP in Akwa Ibom State and a ward member, commended the unity displayed during the emergence of the ward officers. He also highlighted the election of Rt. Hon. Otuekong Nse Essien and Rt. Hon. Dr. Owoidighe Ekpoattai and himself as ad hoc delegates for Awa Ward 6.

Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien, the Accountant General of AKS, called for collective efforts in addressing political matters, drawing cheers from the attendees.


Distinguished guests at the event included Rt. Hon. Udo Uyoata Ebio (Political Leader of the Ward), Rt. Hon. Ime Utin (former chapter chairman of PDP ONNA), Elder Dr. & Rt. Hon. Dr. Ekpoattai; Mr. Ubong Ituen (SA to the governor), Hon. Samuel Umana (Personal Aide II to the governor), Comrade Solomon Thompson (Supervisor, ONNA Transition Committee), Evangelist Abraham Duff Tom (immediate past ward chairman and Councillor hopeful for Awa Ward 6), Hon. Anietie Ekpa (former Councillor), Mr. Ubong Ekpa (former supervisor), Mr. Akpan Monday (former supervisor), and Dr. Eno Jackson (Chairmanship aspirant for ONNA).
