Just as veins supply blood and nutrients to the human body, infrastructure plays a vital role in shaping the economic viability and growth of cities and towns. Hon Iniabasi Ekanem has been at the forefront of ONNA Local Government’s infrastructural renaissance, focusing on critical projects that enhance the well-being of its residents.

1. Udom Legislative Complex: Ekanem’s administration boasts the Udom Legislative Complex, a signature project that exemplifies elegance and functionality. This complex serves as a beacon of progress for the people of ONNA.

2. ONNA Secretariat Entrance: Elder Iniabasi has transformed the ONNA Secretariat entrance into a symbol of excellence. Visitors are greeted by an ambiance of serenity, reflecting the community’s values.

3. Office Complex Renovation: The office complex housing DSS officers, Sub Treasury, NYSC Officials, PhED Outlet, and ONNA Local Planning Authority has undergone a complete renovation. State-of-the-art facilities now create a healthy work environment, boosting job delivery by workers.

4. Village Roads Grading: Ekanem’s commitment extends to village roads. Communities like Catholic Road Abat, Ikot Ebekpo, and Qua Iboe Church Road Okat have benefited from improved connectivity due to road grading.

5. Borehole Revitalization: In celebration of Governor Umo Eno’s sixtieth birthday, borehole facilities in Afaha Atai and Mkpok were revitalized. This initiative aligns with sustainable development goals, ensuring increased access to clean water.

6. Illumination and Power Provision: Ekanem recognizes the importance of power supply for small and medium enterprises. He has provided transformers to communities with faulty ones and aims to ensure reliable electricity for all ONNA communities. Solar-powered street lights now illuminate the ONNA Council Secretariat and its surroundings, deterring vandals.

7. Serene Environment: ONNA Council’s serene environment owes much to timely green area maintenance and effective sanitation along the East-West road portion.
