NIGERIA SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ONNA LGA CHAIRMAN, REQUESTS SUPPORT
The Executive Chairman of ONNA Local Government Area, Hon (Elder) yesterday, September 12, 2022, received members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Eket Chapter in his office.
While addressing the visitors, Hon Ekanem expressed appreciation to the group for identifying with the council. He said that Engineering is a profession that everyone must identify with, owing to its relevance to all developmental processes.
He assured them that his administration will continue to assist the association anytime he is call upon.
Speaking earlier, the team leader who is also the newly elected Chairman of the NSE Eket Chapter, Engr. Ekerette Usak said the new executives were on familiarisation tour and also to consolidate on the existing relationship between the association and the local government area.
While soliciting for more support from the council, the Chairman said that NSE is geared towards providing adequate service to the society, enhancing welfare for engineers, collaborating with educational institutions and corporate organisations, and promoting human capital development.
Engr. Usak also informed the council Boss that NSE mentors youths in engineering studies and the corporate world, organises trainings for artisans as well as job fairs for the engineering school leavers.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of Award of Excellence to the Executive Chairman of ONNA Local Government Area.
