The Chairman of ONNA Local Government Council, Hon. Kufre Umoren , has commended the state Accountant General, Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien , for his empowerment initiatives in his community during the new year celebration.
At the event, which took place at the country home of the AG in Atiamkpat village, the Accountant General and his wife presented cheques to beneficiaries of their sixth empowerment scheme.
Hon. Umoren mentioned that Pastor Essien has sustained the empowerment program, and it has significantly improved the liveability of the people.
In support of the initiative, the chairman donated one million Naira to augment the financial needs of the beneficiaries.
Hon. Umoren further pledged to adopt a similar approach in his education policy for the larger ONNA community.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity and extend its impact to others.
In his reaction, Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien, who serves as the Permanent Secretary and Accountant General of the State, thanked the Chairman for the support and promise to keep sustaining the initiative.
