The wife of the Chairman of ONNA Local Government Council, Mrs. Precious Abasiama Kufre Umoren, on Tuesday, 31st December, 2024, brought festive cheer to the children of the local government area by organising the 2024 Children’s Christmas Party..
The epoch-making event took place at ONNA Council Secretariat field, Abat.
Mrs. Umoren in her speech, disclosed that the 2024 Children’s Christmas party was organised for indigent children from ONNA LGA, to also share in the Christmas experience in spite of their financial limitations.
She charged the children to uphold the biblical tenet of obedience, noting that it is the only commandment that comes with a promise.
The ONNA first lady thereafter distributed exercise books to the children in support of her husband’s back-to-school program as encapsulated in his educational agenda.
The event featured a quiz, a dancing competition, bouncing castles and many other fun-filled activities, while Santa Claus was also there to present them with surprise packages in celebration of the season.
Those who graced the event are; the Vice Chairman of ONNA Local Government, Lady Mfon Uko, Deputy Leader of the Legislature, Hon. Kate Ekanem and other Councilors. Other dignitaries include, PDP Chapter woman leader, Mrs Patricia Ikott, Akwa Obongawan Patience Ukpa
