Nung Oku Itina Football Association Celebrates 40 Years of Grassroot Sports Development

In a spectacular display of football artistry, Nung Oku Itina Football Association (NOIFA) kicked off its 40th anniversary celebration, showcasing the best of grassroot football talents.
The event, chaired by Apostle Kufre Essiet, CEO of Ndikuff Nigeria Limited, was attended by dignitaries including HRH Etebom Hon E. A. Itiat Udo Udang IV, Clan Head of Asuna Nung Oku, and Tpl Itiat Itiat, representing the Chairman of ONNA Local Football Council, Hon. Nda Nda.
Other guest include Dr Eno Isaiah Jackson, Mr Umo Young, Comrade Solomon Thompson, Umoh Harford, village heads, managers of participating teams, youth leaders and teaming sport lovers.
In his address, Apostle Kufre Essiet commended NOIFA for its consistency in promoting grassroot sports development, noting that football has been a unifying factor globally.
The event featured a thrilling match between Ikot Mbong and Ikot Udo Esang, as well as a message from the NOIFA president, Mr. Nsikan Ishmeal Umoren, who emphasized the need for community support to sustain the association’s activities.
As NOIFA celebrates this milestone, it reinforces the importance of grassroot sports development in promoting unity and talent discovery.
