The Chairman of ONNA Local Government Council, Mr. Kufre Umoren, has promised to lead an inclusive administration that transcends party lines, aiming to unify all members of the local government, irrespective of their political affiliations.
Umoren made the declaration during a meeting with the representatives from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) at the council secretariat in Abat on Monday.
He assured members of the opposition of a governance style that welcomes everyone.
While delivering the Governorβs message of unity, Umoren emphasized the need to bridge political divides, stating that governance must be inclusive post-election.
βElection is over; governance is now. I am not a Chairman that will segregate. I came to unite the local government and not to balkanize it,β he asserted.
The chairman expressed his commitment to fulfilling the Governor’s directive to involve all citizens in ONNAβs development, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure growth and prosperity for the people.
In his remarks, Hon. Kingsley Johnny, the ONNA chapter chairman of the PDP, reassured opposition members of a collaborative relationship with the current administration.
The chapter leaders of APC, YPP and NNPP, in their respective remarks, extended gratitude to Governor Eno for his inclusive approach, pledging their support for his administration.
Accompanying Mr. Umoren at the meeting were Lady Mfon Uko, Vice Chairman and Arch. Mfon Akpabio, Secretary of the Council.
