….Promises to complete timber market project initiated by Predecessor


The Chairman of ONNA Local Government Council, Hon. Kufre Umoren on Wednesday,Β  conducted an inspection tour of various infrastructures in ONNA LGA.

Accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Mfon Uko, Secretary of Council, Arc. Mfon Akpabio, Leader of ONNA Legislative Council, Hon Samuel Felix, the Director of Works, and Senior government officials, the tour was meant to evaluate the condition of the infrastructures and ways of remedying further depreciation.



While addressing women and youths at Eder-obo Market, Umoren stated that they are embarking on the tour to assess the present condition of the infrastructures and ways to improve on theirΒ  status.

“We are embarking on this tour to gain firsthand understanding of how we can improve this market, making it more conducive for business transactions.”

β€œI urge the youth to cooperate with me, as we will soon commence beautification works in and around the market.” He said.


The Chairman also visited the site of the ONNA Timber Market, a project initiated by the immediate past administration in Ikot Ebekpo community.

He expressed his excitement at what he saw on ground and pledged to ensure that the project receives the necessary attention to be completed and operational.

In addition to these locations, Hon. Umoren assessed several other facilities, including the ONNA Security Village, former Legislative Lodge, ONNA Estate in Okat, and the old park in Ndon Eyo.
