❌❌❌ Statement by Elder Ezekiel Umoh, Political Leader of Oniong East 3❌❌❌
Enough is enough. I urge everyone to refrain from using my name to seek undue advantages. Let this serve as a clear warning: continue misrepresenting me, and you’ll face my legal team.
I’ve observed with concern that some individuals exploit my name for cheap political gains. Some even attribute positions to me within the administration that I am unaware of. Initially, I chose to remain silent, assuming it merely provided sustenance for their livelihood. However, their actions have escalated into character defamation, and it’s time to address this publicly.
Regarding the ONNA chairmanship race, the situation is straightforward. As a leader in Oniong and ONNA, I participated in stakeholder discussions about crucial positions. We unanimously agreed to send a private communique to our esteemed leader, His Excellency Mr. Udom Emmanuel, the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State. In this communication, we respectfully requested that Oniong East be considered for the Chairmanship position, given the absence of major political office holders from that area. How the private communique got to the media houses baffles me.
To my surprise, I’ve encountered publications—both electronic and print—that falsely associate me with derogatory statements about other leaders.
Let me set the record straight: I am a loyal PDP leader, actively working to strengthen my ward and secure victories in elections. Recently, I’ve even faced baseless allegations related to a meeting at Ikot Uboh in Ikot Akpatek that I was not preview to and did not attend. How my name got to the communique is still unresolved.
I want to emphasize unequivocally that I won’t tolerate anyone misusing my name for false publications. If it happens again, the responsible party will face legal consequences.
His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, remains our leader, and I stand against any attacks directed at him.
We can’t claim to love His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno but disrespect the man that paved the way for the emergency of our dear Golden Governor.
Lastly, if you seek favors, refrain from blackmailing your brothers and sisters. Fear God and act with integrity.
I’ll continue to give my support in order to strengthen my party, the PDP and ofcourse, my unwavering support for our workaholic Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno remains sacrosanct.
May God bless us all.
Signed,
Elder Ezekiel Umoh
Political Leader, Oniong East 3
