At the instance of Obongawan Ndifreke Etebom Itiat, wife of the Clan Head of Asuna Nung Oku, a momentous gathering took place. This session brought together the women of the clan, recognizing their pivotal roles as wives, mothers, and community leaders.
Obongawan Ndifreke expressed her gratitude for the positive contributions made by these women. She emphasized that the group would actively engage outstanding women both within and beyond the clan, fostering community service through meaningful partnerships.
In addition, Obongawan Ini Ifiok Umoren received commendation for upholding the principles of womanhood going forward.
She has often encouraged fellow women to explore entrepreneurial endeavors, thereby enhancing their family incomes.
The voices of other women echoed unity of purpose and a shared commitment to bolster the economic well-being of their members.
Asuna Nung Oku Clan comprises eleven villages within the larger ONNA Local Government Area, which encompasses a total of forty-two villages. HRH Etebom (Hon) E. A. Itiat Udo Udang III serves as the esteemed Clan Head.
Membership in this vibrant community based organization is open, contingent upon identification and active participation.
