Special Recognition for Sports Development in Akwa Ibom State

Yesterday at the Uyo Township Stadium, the Akwa Ibom State Allstars Football Confederation honored several individuals for their remarkable contributions to football development in Akwa Ibom State and beyond. The award presentation was a highlight of the inauguration ceremony of Hon. Imeh Inoh led Executive.
Here are the distinguished recipients from ONNA:
Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien:
– As the Accountant General of Akwa Ibom State, he is an avid sports enthusiast and an active racket player. His unwavering support has fueled sporting activities across the state.
Venerable (Dr) David Udonsek:
– A serial sponsor of football in ONNA, he initiated the David Udonsek Grassroot Football Tournament, which has successfully completed three editions. His passion for sports development inspires many athletes.
Comrade Ubong Essien:
– Serving as the General Manager of FC One Rocket, an indigenous sporting brand, he has nurtured talented players. FC One Rocket currently competes in the Nigeria National League.
Mr Josiah Ufot (JUFOT):
– As the CEO of JUFOT Petroleum, he actively supports sporting activities in Akwa Ibom State. He is a viable Patron of Coastal Allstars SC ONNA
TPL Itiat Itiat Christopher:
– A lecturer at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, he is the Team Manager Coastal Allstars SC ONNA and founded the ONNA Scrabble Challenge. The third edition of the Scrabble Competition is scheduled for July 2024 among secondary schools in ONNA.
Hon Kingsley Johnny:
– The current Treasurer of the Akwa Ibom State Allstars Football Confederation, he has been deeply involved in sporting activities. He chairs the FC One Rocket supporters club and previously served as the emeritus President of Coastal Allstars SC ONNA. Serving currently as Supervisor for Works and Transport in ONNA Transition Committee.
Engr Johnny Etuk:
He was an effective goal stopper during his hay days. Engr Etuk has been consistent in making sure that goalkeepers award are available for every competition at his instance.
Obong Essiet Umana:
– Known as the driving force behind Coastal Allstars SC ONNA, he was also the pioneer Captain of ONNA Tigers during his youth. His commitment to secondary school football competitions is commendable.
Hon. Nda Nda, Chairman of the ONNA Local Football Council, in company of Comrade Itoro Marcualey led the ONNA contingents at this gathering of football stars. The award presentation was accompanied by an exhilarating football match between the Akwa Ibom State Football Association and Allstars College of President, resulting in nine goals scored.
These individuals received well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions to sports development and their significant service to humanity. The Akwa Ibom State Allstars Football Confederation, a leisure sports outfit with global recognition, honored them during the ceremony.
