Venerable David Udonsek is from ONNA Local Government Area a local government which stands as a prominent community within Ibibio land, boasting an expansive territory. It encompasses three vibrant clans: Oniong, Nung Ndem, and Awa. The name “ONNA” itself is an acronym cleverly derived from the initials of these three influential clans. Once a part of the Eket District, this remarkable entity emerged as a separate and distinct unit on the memorable date of May 3rd, 1989, during the reign of the esteemed General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Onna is 34 years old.
The LGA is in dire need of young and proactive leaders who possess a deep understanding of the grassroots and its people. Throughout the years, the venerable David Udonsek has consistently dedicated his efforts to nurturing activities that promote growth among various groups within the LGA, including youth, women, and the elderly.
Most Onna indigenes believe that this time the platform would be open for committed and disciplined leaders, such as the venerable David Udonsek.
