Emem Bob joins Governor Eno, Ors to pay last respect to Prelate Sunday Mbang

As the remains of the Late Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Prelate Sunday Mbang is committed to mother-earth today, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development, joined his boss, Governor Umo Eno to pay his last respect to the revered elder statesman.

Mr. Bob, who had earlier joined the State government’s delegation led by the SSG, Prince Enobong Uwah to the Victor Attah International Airport to receive array of dignitaries including Nigeria’s former president, Chief  Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom State,  Mr. Udom Emmanuel among others, later proceeded to Eket Local Government Area, venue for the funeral service.

Reflecting on the life and times of the late revered Christian leader, the Economic Development boss,  described the departed father of faith as a man who served God and humanity to the best of his abilities even till his last days, saying his wise counsel would be greatly missed.

He said as a father, Late Prelate Sunday Mbang contributed immensely to the peace, prosperity and development of Akwa Ibom State and added that his demise has left a big vacuum.

Mr. Bob prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed while also reaching out to the bereaved family in prayers.
