VALEDICTORY SERVICE IN HONOUR OF MR. EMEM BOB, HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Management and Staff of Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Economic Development, today 22nd May, 2023, held a Valedictory Service in honour of the Honourable Commissioner, Mr. Emem Bob, and send forth for the Ministry’s Chaplain, Mr. Nsikak Jonah who is retiring from the State Civil Service.
The event which took place at the Conference room, in the Ministry was to show appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner for his numerous contributions towards the development and growth of the Economic Sector, since he assumed duty as the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry.
Mr. Emem Bob reflecting on his posting to the Ministry, and achievements recorded in the Ministry since he assumed duties, expressed deep appreciation to God for the successes recorded in the Ministry, and the growth of the Economic Sector of the State.
He acknowledged the massive support of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for his developmental strides and achievements in the Economic Sector.


The Commissioner commended the Management and Staff of the Ministry for their cooperation, as well as the team spirit of working together for the interest of the Ministry and progress of the State.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barr. Christopher Udoh, poured encomiums on the Honourable Commissioner, and described him as an endowed Administrator, with unique blend of exceptional competence, who discharges his official duties creditable.
In his response, the retiring Staff, Mr. Nsikak Jonah thanked the Honourable Commissioner, Permanent Secretary and other Staff of the Ministry for the cordial and harmonious working relationship they shared, and expressed his gratitude to them for the honour done him on his retirement.
Earlier in his Message, the Director, Program Monitoring and Evaluation of the Ministry, Mr. Otobong Sambo, commended the Honourable Commissioner for successfully piloting the affairs of the Ministry, and the outgoing Chaplain for his commitment and dedication towards the growth of the fellowship.
Speaking on the theme, “Reward for Service” he said in every act of service, there is a reward which everyone should work towards achieving.
The event featured goodwill messages from a former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Elder Eyeakop Umanah, Heads of Departments, and Staff. They wished them the very best in their future endeavours.
