Akwa Ibom Commissioner describes General Elections in the State as peaceful

…Commends Emmanuel’s administration

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development, Mr Emem Bob, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the state, describing it as peaceful, transparent, free and fair.

Speaking to journalists in his Oniong West ward 1 unit 1&2, maintained that the elections were peaceful, transparent and orderly in the various units in his ward.

He commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for his consistency in maintaining peace in the state, describing the governor as a promise keeper who fulfilled his promise of touching the life’s of the citizenries positively.

Flanked by his wife, Mrs Nini Bob, he disclosed that thuggery during elections has reduced which prompted indigenes to troop in to cast their votes without any intimidation and disenfranchisement, adding that the materials and other logistics arrived the polling units on time

“I want to say that the elections we observed today were generally peaceful, because you cannot describe any election in Nigeria as being credible, as being fair without first of all being peaceful”.
