DECLARES SUPPORT FOR UMO ENO/ SUNDAY JOHNNY

The Federated ONNA Students of Nigeria [FOSON] Worldwide at the instance of the Worldwide President – Comr. Shedrach Peter, the Stakeholders chairman – Comr. Johnson Ayara, the worldwide executives, the chapter Presidents, and the Stakeholders met on Friday 10th March, 2023 to dialogue on some issues which were of major concerns , to proffer lasting solutions to the growth and betterment of the students Community.

The Worldwide President who gave room to entertain questions on controversial issues brought before him by some aggrieved students, made just and promising responses to the delight of all.

Many arising matters treated, settled and resolved amicably.
Also speaking was the stakeholders Chairman, Comr. Ayara, who admonished the Students Community on the need to remain transparent, peaceful, focused, law abiding and giving in necessary cooperations to the good of the union.

The High Point of the meeting was the OFFICIAL ADOPTION OF PASTOR UMOH ENO AND MR. SUNDAY JOHNNY as the Union’s sole candidates for the Governorship and the State House of Assembly elections.

The worldwide president stressed the fact that the People’s Democratic Party, which have been the Union’s sole benefactor over the years through his leadership, and had carefully chosen credible, competent and trusted candidates. In the Union’s bid for sustainance and continuity, it was high time to reciprocate their thankfulness via a kind gesture of voting the candidates of the party because of the blue print that they have brought to the table for the Students.

The true and active leadership of FOSON Worldwide also frowned against the information they got that some unscrupulous agents have gone to some desperate politicians to lie to them by claiming that they represent ONNA Students, and they took to social media to talk about protest in order to prove their sponsors that they are working. We the active and true leadership of FOSON have condemned that act and we send a strong warning to those impostors to desist from such act because it’s an offense , punishable by law.

We would have ignored such cheap criminal act, but for the purpose of the public and the image of FOSON that we and so many past leaders suffered to build, we hereby categorically state that:

1. such social media planned protest is not from ONNA Students leadership and it shouldn’t be taken seriously because the Association is not aware of it.

2. No protest can take place without the Leadership of FOSON ( Executive body, Stakeholders and Chapter Presidents)

3. No one would plan of protest without informing the security agency and Local Government Council.

4 . The so called protest only remains on social media.

5. Anyone that will try impersonation next time , shall be handed over to the Police.

FOSON is not a political party, but it has the right to throw weight on leaders that will bring peace, prosperity, hope, and development to the people of Akwa Ibom State and the Students. We believe that Mr. Sunday Johnny shall work with Pastor Umoh Eno to bring development to ONNA and to the students Community, in that regard, the Students of ONNA have agreed to go out on 18th March 2023 to vote for the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP .

The Worldwide President enjoined the students community to massively support and vote for Pastor Umo Eno and Mr Sunday Johnny for Governor and ONNA State House of Assembly respectively.

Comr. Ayara Who is the Stakeholders Chairman of FOSON Worldwide, in affirmation encouraged the Students leadership to adhere to the Union’s choice and decision, by canvassing, educating and voting for the party of the students as we hope for better days in the nearest, future having acknowledged what the union had so far benefited from the leadership of the governor, H.E Udom Emmanuel. Also stating that whatever outstanding issues being faced by the student union, shall be better taken care of as soon as possible.

Further speeches came from members of the stakeholders and all chapter Presidents of FOSON in different institutions which to mention but a few; Nsobom Otobong Ndawo, Comr. Ubong Ettekpan, Comr. Unyime Silas, Victor Uwah, Nsikak Attah, etc.
