YULETIDE: Commissioner Emem Bob Fetes Kinsmen
Locals of Oniong West Wards 1&2 in Onna LGA have never had it so good at Christmas and New year celebrations like they did on Saturday, 31st December, 2022, when their illustrious son, the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Development, Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Emem Bob, dolled out cash and food items to them in commemoration of the yuletide season.
The economic boss who played host to his kinsmen at his Mkpaeto residence, in his brief remarks, said the season presents another opportunity to reach out in love to all, saying the birth of in Jesus Christ signifies love, peace and prosperity to mankind.
Flanked by his beautiful wife, Iniobong, he thanked his boss and leader, Governor Udom Emmanuel for affording him the privilege to serve in the state EXCO, adding that his people-oriented projects across the nooks and crannies of Akwa Ibom State has placed the state on the global map.
Mr. Bob who has consistently reached out to his community within a short period of being appointed a Commissioner, reminded the people of Oniong West 1 that PDP is a religion in the local government, hence should be sustained in the coming elections for more dividends to come.
Honourable Courage Inam delivered the tone setting at the event, while Hon. Nkanang Nkanang did a vote of thanks on behalf of all the beneficiaries. Also in their separate remarks, youth presidents from the 6 villages who spoke, eulogised the goodwill of their son and prayed God to bless and multiply his coast. They also promised to stand with him to deliver the PDP in the forthcoming polls.
The six villages of the two wards that benefitted from the largesse included; Ikot Edor, Mkpa eto, Ikot Eko Ibon, – Ukpana, Akpabom and Ikot Abasi.
