Yesterday being the 23rd December, 2022, the leadership of FOSON and the entire members of the association Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic chapter led by Hon. Emmanuel Ekpoh held her cultural day and the first of its kind which was held in primary school Awa , ONNA local government area.
The theme of the event was ; RESTORING THE SANCTITY AND INTEGRITY OF OUR CULTURE.
The chairman of the occasion in person of Dr. ( Engr.) Ekerete Usak (chairman Nigerian society of engineers, Eket chapter) who thanked God for his grace and also FOSON for the good work of ONNA students in Akwa poly as the brought up such a great and memorable event and also finding time to grace the event.
The chairman in his speech made known to the FOSONITES that before restoring the sanctity of any culture, you must know the past ( history) of that culture and if you can’t change it to what it was, then change it to what will suit the future.
The student adviser of ONNA in person of Mr. Itiat Itiat Christopher was there present and he appreciated the chairman for availing himself in the event. To the students he encouraged them to always unite as brothers and sisters, he advised FOSON to maintain peace and also put more effort to lead in fairness and transparency.
Barr. O. Eze appreciated the students and promised to support them anywhere anytime.

Finally:
The president, Hon. Emmanuel Ekpoh appreciated the chairman, Mr. Itiat ( student adviser) and all those that found time to grace the event .
He also appreciated all the students, parliamentarians, traditional council rulers, Foson Worldwide and the villagers.
He thanked his executives for the support and contribution towards the event. He prayed that God bless everyone.
