NKPAETO, MBOHO IMA FCAs APPLAUDS GOVERNMENT’ EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
Members of the Nka Uwam Nkpaeto and Mboho Ima Farmers’ Community Associations have applauded the State government’ empowerment programme: AKS-CARES.
Speaking on behalf of the groups during the distribution of broiler birds and feeds held today 21st October, 2022 at Nkpaeto village in Onna Local Government Area, the Chairman of Nka Uwam Nkpaeto, Mr. Donald Bob and Mboho Ima, Hon. Edinam Inam commended Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Commissioners for Agriculture/ Economic Development, Dr. Offiong Offor and Mr. Emem Bob for the choice of their associations as beneficiaries of the gesture.
They recalled that the groups have so far received goats, pigs, juvenile fishes, fertilizers and improved cassava cuttings for cultivation. The group heads, who assured the government of their readiness to put the items to good use, cautioned members from selling the inputs received, as a committee is in place to monitor the progress of the farms.
In his remark, the State Coordinator Result Area 2, Mr. Richard Sam, represented by the Head, Grievance Redress Mechanism, Mr. Anameti Daniel, appreciated Gov. Emmanuel, the Federal Government and World Bank for the initiative.
The Technical Officer, Livestock Department, Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Jove Obot engaged the beneficiaries on the techniques and management of poultry farm.
The event featured distribution of 50 broiler birds and 8 bags of feed to each of the 20 beneficiaries from both Farmer Community Associations.
