ONIONG EAST WARD 111 IN ONNA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA REMAINS PDP:
Constituents reaffirmed during the party reconciliation meeting.
The political leader of Ikwe and the immediate past permanent secretary, SUBEB, Elder Ezekiel Umo, swang into action immediately a clarion call came from the State leadership of the PDP to reposition and concretize the structure of party in preparation for the 2023 general elections, which is around the corner.
The entire people of the ward enmassed to show their unwavering support for PDP, they confessed that they have no reason to go to another political party after benefitting from PDP over the years.
The political leader, Elder Ezekiel Umoh addressed charged His constituents get their PVCs and be ready to vote for all candidates of the People’s Democratic party (PDP).
Speaking, the Elder reminded His ward that Governor Emmanuel’s succession plan and completion agenda is their topmost priority and as such , He called for synergy in order to ensure that the party retrains power at all levels in Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State.
The ward chairman, Mr. Ekam Tobby, a.k.a. The Digital poured encomiums on the political leader for His leadership prowess and the love He has shown to the party and the people of Ikwe. He further stressed that, PDP is not only a religion in the ward, but also a tradition owing to the fact that, the ward and state have seen the goodness of the party.
The councilor added that everyone is ready to work together to deliver PDP at all levels.
Hon. Philip Ambrose, Dean , college of supervisors in ONNA Local Government council also lend His voice to the call for intensive continuous voters registration exercise and the need to mobilize people living in Utana(fishing area) to come out and be involved fully in the present day politicking in order for PDP to convincingly win elections in the ward, Local Government, State and Nigeria.
Hon. Ekpeyo, the ONNA chapter auditor general of PDP advised that the people should play politics devoid of rancor and rumours so as to walk together to deliver PDP.
The Deputy Village Head, (Chief) Pastor Victor Udofia assured everyone that Ikwe being the most peaceful village in ONNA, will remain peaceful before, during and after elections and that Ikwe village will follow Governor Emmanuel anywhere He goes.
Hon. Usoro Paulinus (MPM coordinator) advised thanked the leadership of the party for the call to meet at ward levels and addressed the grassroots because politics starts from the grassroot. He reaffirmed that Oniong is ward 111 is 100% PDP and nothing can change it.
Other dignitaries that addressed the meet were, Jane David Inyang (PDP women leader of the ward), Mr. Nsikan Gregory (Youth President) Mr. Okon Akpan Peter (stakeholder) Mr. Jonah Akpabio (Party stalwart) and other party men and women.
In His remarks, Elder Ezekiel Umoh called for unity and total support and loyalty to the party and the Governor. He thanked the people for coming for their time and support for the party.
