2023: Bob, Akpabio, woo more Support for Pst. Umo Eno ahead of elections.
– Oniong West Ward 1 is intact – LG Chairman
To further strengthen the PDP in Oniong West Ward 1 in ONNA Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Economic Development, Mr. Emem Bob, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Medical services, Dr. Ignitius Akpabio and the Council Helmsman, Iniabasi Ekanem, today, regrouped the PDP structure for victory in the 2023 elections.
This is in line with the ongoing meeting of party faithful of the Peoples Democratic Party across the 329 wards in the state.
Speaking in the meeting, Bob appreciated the Ward structure for its consistency in supporting the Governor and every appointee from the ward and Local Government.
‘’I thank you for the support given to the Governor and myself since appointed to the State Executive Council”
He noted that the meeting is to tell the people at the ward level that the PDP led by the Governor has strong faith in the people.
He stated further that it is the people’s place to reciprocate what the PDP has done for the state through the Governor by supporting the Completion Agenda and Pst. Umo Eno.
“It is only PDP that has the structure that will not only win elections but will provide democratic values to commemorate the electioneering support, so If you love me and your brother the Governor, you must give your support to the completion agenda and Pst. Umo Eno as our brother’s successors
‘’I have come to tell you that I will not fail you. Oniong West Ward 1 is blessed. Many will see the remaining period to be very short, but it is pregnant with so many lofty programmers that will benefit the people’’ He added.
In his remark, the Chief Physician to the Governor, Dr. Ignitius Akpabio, said the meeting was to mend fences and forge a new path for the party at the grassroots for victory in the upcoming elections.
He stated that the essence of being in government is to provide shoulders for people to climb hence, the reason they are always back home is to give necessary support to the people.
The LG Chairman, Iniabasi Ekanem, said it was time to give back to the man who has given the ward a face in the state.
Mr. Ekanem maintained that PDP is the only party that has the people at heart and Oniong West Ward 1 will return block votes for Pst. Umo Eno and all PDP candidates.
He further called for peace and unity in the ward.
