Oniong Peoples Forum, the apex Socio-political body in Oniong Clan is blessed with Elder Ezekiel Umoh as Chairman. He has informed that the two political units in the clan has consistently supported the Completion Agenda of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and will now double her effort at mobilisation for Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, the preferred and worthy successor to His Excellency come 2023.
The Forum is happy with the tangible deliverables that this administration has churned out to the electorates regardless of political affinity.
The Chairman of the forum, Elder Ezekiel Umoh – former permanent secretary State Universal Basic Education Board Akwa Ibom State and political leader of Oniong East 3 – reaffirm the Clan’s resolve to mandate all stakeholders to support, mobilise, and sensitize people on the need to maintain the existing peace and also take advantage of the ongoing Electronic Registration by PDP and INEC for Membership and Voter’s Card registration respectively.
Elder Ezekiel also applauded the choice of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno – Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources – as the preferred successor to Governor Udom based on his enviable track record of excellence. “Pastor Umo has often displayed foresight and insight at job execution as evident in AkwaGIS and Emily Estate projects” he concluded.
Comrade Nkanang Nkanang, Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of Onna and Secretary of the Forum also lent his voice in appreciation of the governor’s sterling achievements and the sustained peace in the state.
