It was a lucky day again for prefects and other students of twelve secondary Schools in ONNA (Private and public) as the owner ofย  PRINCE FOUNDATION, Obong Uwem Essien who is known as a philanthropist, stormed Qua Iboe Church Senior Science School, Ndon Eyo with men of high profiles to add tints and shades to the Grand finale of Prince foundation seminar for secondary School prefects.
Obong uwem and His friends were offered a red carpet reception by the students and invited guests.

Obong Uwen Essien after the opening prayer, delivered His speech and highlighted the Aims/ Objectives and achievements of His foundation right from 1994 that it was established and incorporated in 2020 by Corporate Affairs Commission, the achievements include:

Scholarships for ONNA best Secondary School Students, (private and public), donation of text books, exercise books, pen, pencil, annual football and quiz competition, trophies, cash prizes, regular visits to motherless babies homes in Akwa Ibom State, etc.

The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Kingsley Ekwere advised the students on how to succeed.

Other keynote speakers who delivered lectures on different topics were:

1. Mr. Enobong Akpabio, He spoke on “Who is a leader”

2. Mr. Samuel Edem, He spoke on “Abuse of power”

3. Prof. Ukana Akpabio spoke on “Leadership qualities of a good Prefect”.


After the lectures, students were allowed to ask questions.

Patience Daniel Eshiet of Afaha Inang secondary School and

Perpetual Sunday Pius of ONNA people’s High school were among the students that asked questions on Abuse of power.

Mr. Samuel Edem was able to satisfy the Students with elaborate answers.

Mr. Itiat Itiat who later represented the chairman of the occasion, delivered a powerful message to the students, in his speech, he described Obong Uwem Essien as a Leader who is rendering a selfless service and not a dealer who is looking for election before empowering his people.
He also mentioned an ONNA daughter (Miss Grace Utin Samuel) who is a graduate now courtesy of the Prince Foundation as a motivation for other students and prefects to take advantage of the foundation to secure the future of their dreams.
He concluded be revealing the secret of making money to the students, which according to him is to solve problems and fear the Lord.

The high point of the event was the presentation of text books and other writing materials to the students and teachers of the twelve secondary Schools in ONNA.

Etebom Christopher Itiat(village head of ikot obio-Eket); Eteidung Friday Robinson Inyang ( Ikwe village head); Prof. Ukana Akpabio; Mr. Itiat Itiat (Lecturer with Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua); Dr. Kingsley Ekwere , Arc. E.J. Ayara, Mr. Godwin Ben,ย  Teachers from secondary Schools, prefects, Students, Elders, and villagers.

Thanked God for the strength and ability given to him to reach out to future leaders every year, He promise to continue to do what he knows how to do best as long as he lives. He expressed unreserved gratitude to the speakers, lecturers, students, and everyone that graced the event.
