ONNA Local Government Area Corps members Visit Motherless Babies Home, Mkpok

One of the core values of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is for Serving Corps members to make positive impact in their PLACES OF PRIMARY ASSIGNMENT (PPA). The Corps members serving in ONNA Local Government Area are not left behind in making sure that the aims and objectives of NYSC is achieved in the Local Government Area by spotting some challenges and then proffer solutions to them. In unison the Corps members paid a courtesy visit to the Motherless Babies Home in Mkpok ONNA LGA. The reason for the courtesy visit is to have a good time with the Orphans, encourage them in a little way they can and assure them of how successful they could be in life irrespective of their present condition. Some items were donated to the orphanage which includes; A bag of rice, cartons of Indomie Noodles, cartons of Biscuits, a packet of sweet and rolls of tissue paper. The NYSC Local Government Inspector, ONNA LGA, Mr. Emmanuel Ekeli and Mrs. Venerable David Udonsek appreciate the efforts of those taking care of the Orphans at the Orphanage, they also assured them that their reward is not just in heaven but even on Earth. The LGI told the management that NYSC ONNA LGA will always do the best it could to pay a visit to the orphanage whenever the need to do so arises whether officially or unofficially. The Matron In-Charge of the motherless babies home Mkpok appreciated the kind gesture of the Corps members and the leadership of NYSC ONNA to the orphanage. She prayed for God’s favor upon all the Corps members serving within the Local Government Area.
